Go Between Bridge
The Go Between Bridge is an integral inner-city river crossing, providing a link between Brisbane’s northern, western and southern suburbs. The four lane toll bridge connects Merivale and Cordelia Streets in West End to Hale Street and the Inner City Bypass.
The featuring two separate 3.6 metre wide bicycle and pedestrian paths, the bridge provides access to South Brisbane, Toowong and the CBD along existing bikeways and footpaths.
Go Between Bridge Connections
The Go Between Bridge provides easy access to Brisbane’s popular venues:
- South Bank and the Cultural Precinct
- West End
- Suncorp Stadium
- Caxton Street and Paddington
- Park Road, Milton.
The bridge was opened to traffic on 5 July 2010. The bridge was named by a community vote in 2009 after the Brisbane band The Go-Betweens, who achieved Australian and international acclaim.
The rights to toll, operate and maintain the Go Between Bridge were acquired in December 2013.
